Lack of Medical Care
is one of the biggest reasons why millions in the developing world die of preventable and treatable diseases. In half the the cases of children's deaths, illness was complicated by malnutrition (nearly one in three children is malnourished). But change is possible; for example, since the 2001 launch of an international vaccination campaign, deaths from measles have plunged 39%.

April 12, 2009 - This is the first time I have updated this particular page in over 3 years. The reason I am doing it now is that a very smart woman named Dominique Appleby and I are going to work with an amazing person named Dr, Raymond F. Schinazi.
